![]() ![]() I hope not becoming fan boy-ish, I`m just pointing out my experiences and the differences in what I knew sim racing was last week.īTW this game has something I mentioned ages ago on main forums. but the in game race director can slow the cars down, and well it can do everything else, it will even punish shitty driving haha. Oops I lied the only thing it doesn't have is a safety car. it can have a 24 hour practice session and 24 hour qualify session set before the race start which you`ve guessed it can be 24 hours. I want to try endurance, I want my own server with realistic weather with the forecast from the track itself and real time night cycle. ![]() I'm glad ive bought this title I really am sometimes its hit and miss and just an average race, but like real life when it comes together its euphoric in some respects. you can really tell what other drivers are doing and attempting to do whilst in car and before it even happens, the amount of leading drivers into late braking and hogging the track (and being able to react) is so superb. and that leaves touring cars racing being so fundamentally correctĭamn! it is a sim (of sorts) and hell of a lot of random fun with so many more considerations. really good sense of building the car into the speed by warming it up, cant explain but when you drive like a madman it really treats you like one.Ĭollisions seems to be a good part of the game too, seems very forgiving compared to other sims, but the other sims simply don't allow it in any way, in pc2 you can have no body work or paint left and it not affect your race in any considerable way. its really deep feeling when it gets it right. also other points to note are the amazing physics when you are on the limit, hitting a kerb edge throws you around so convincingly. HAHA ! afterwards I realised how amazing that was. it wasn't raining and it pissed me off in the heat of the moment. so I went off track because the wipers were not on anymore. One crazy moment when the sky was blue but the water still standing and I got overtaken by a Ferrari on the inside that threw all its water on me, because I was on the outside whilst turning left and got sprayed from the side. probably the best most dynamic racing i`ve ever had tbh. , but so many wonderful occasions were had on imola and laguna. Watching gamer muscle last night and the last race in the snow with Caterham was interesting. I have been enjoying it though, its the same conditions for everyone. Weather wise, its way to hard core, most of the conditions are `red` flag conditions. Or visually seeing the puddle that truly fucked my race up. Nothing has ever satisfied me in a sim more than wiping a few spots of rain away from the windshield, with a single flick of the wipers. It doesn't seem to have any `awkward` architecture to be honest. I mean give AC all this and I'm set for a long long time sim racing. and we can see the more trusted sim titles doing it all in their own way. Hopefully all the other developers are watching, thinking `lets do it too`, but in our way. it may not be as refined, and it may take time to refine but you could have better immediate access fun in this than anything else. and it provides actual racing at any time of day, all day in pretty much any weather. and today I bought it as a believer only in " I can have some good fun with this".

Not only will you save paper, but your carbon footprint from driving to the job trailer to access plans is no more.ĥ. ![]() Save the trees! Printing plans definitely has an environmental impact. With the time saved from switching to digital, you’ll be able to submit more bids and take advantage of more opportunities for revenue growth.Ĥ. If you spend $1000 per month on plans, that’s $12,000 per year! That is equal to a down payment on a new company vehicle, 60 new sheetrock guns, or ten MacBook Pros.ģ. So is leafing through hundreds of paper plans that take hours of your precious time.Ģ. Driving to the job trailer to access plans is an archaic practice. Here’s why your business needs to switch: There is nothing more permanent than digital. They’ll never be auto-updated – How many times have you printed a set of plans that require changes soon after? That’s more printing costs on your hands and dollars out of your pocket. Paper plans can’t be in the office and at the jobsite simultaneously, causing scheduling delays. They’re not collaborative – Only one person can work off a set of paper prints at a time. Where are you going to find space to review and store all this data? How long do you plan on being in business? Multiply your annual jobs by the average number of pages of plans and find your yearly paper trail. They take up space – Unless you’re Marie Kondo, if you’re still using paper plans your office is a cluttered, disorganized mess. They’re just unsafe – Lose your paper prints? Cue the domino effect – profit loss, scheduling delays, rework, frustrated GCs or owners, etc. Or, in Lakefront Roofing Supply’s case, they would waste time and money at the copy machine scaling prints properly. The risk of doing an entire takeoff based on the wrong scale is real. They’re not accurately scalable – It’s unfortunately common that architects do not scale properly. Construction is a dirty industry, plain and simple, and you have the potential for prints to get damaged bringing them on site. They’re inconvenient – Lugging around huge blueprint pages to the jobsite is frustrating, to say the least. Also, waiting for delivery or driving to the local printer for pickup is a waste of time and money. It’s not unusual to have $1000 per month in printing fees.Įverything will be in slow-motion – In a culture of instant gratification, who wants to wait on a printer to print your plans? You’re setting your business up as laggards, with competition getting bids in faster via digital plans. In 2021, however, the name Carrera has been reunited with another legend of motorsports in Porsche whose 911 car was born in the same year as the Heuer chronograph. There were the two Carrera 160 Years Limited Edition references that echoed the pure form of historical racing chronographs, while Jack Heuer celebrated his 88th birthday with a reissue of his favourite gold chronograph, plus there was an entirely new collection of Carrera sports watches that were unashamedly modern in their design. Last year we saw a wide range of interpretations of that original Carrera design language. ![]() There have been countless executions of the Carrera design DNA, still maintaining allegiance to its original look with its sharp case and lug lines, while meeting the contemporary market with improved movement technology and new case materials. Today, the Carrera is still a pillar of the TAG Heuer brand and continues its close ties with motorsports thanks to its relationship with Red Bull Racing. 2447, and featured the same clean design that had made it so popular more than three decades earlier when it kickstarted the next chapter in the history of the racing chronograph. It was inspired by the very first watch to feature Carrera on the dial, the ref. In 1985, Heuer was sold to Techniques d’Avant Garde (which we now know as TAG), and a little more than a decade after it had been scrubbed from the catalogues, the Carrera was relaunched in 1996. Jack Heuer had to sell the company in 1982 when he stepped down from running its operations and, in 1984, the Carrera collection was discontinued. The Heuer Carrera saw dozens of different expressions through the ’70s, before the impact of the quartz technology took its toll and the Heuer brand began to suffer. ![]() This was one of the first-ever automatic Swiss chronograph movements and marked the beginning of the golden era of the Heuer Carrera in the 1970s. This generation was updated with the original Valjoux movements replaced with the all new, and soon to be legendary, Calibre 11. This first design was produced until 1970, in a range of different dial layouts, colours and case materials, before it was superseded by the next upgrades. The clean and uncluttered dial was housed in a 36mm steel case that featured the distinctive sharply faceted lugs, applied markers and slightly stepped sub-dials. ![]() Its design was purely focused on the gentleman drivers of the day, with legibility and functionality the key ingredients. 2447 just a year after he took the helm of the organisation. Inspired by the stories of the race, and looking to create a watch that would meet the high-octane demands of motorsports, Jack Heuer launched the Heuer Carrera ref. Jack Heuer was the the great grandson of the founder of the company, which at that point was well known for producing sports timers, dashboard clocks and, increasingly, wristworn chronographs. Tales of this high-speed, daring and thoroughly challenging event stuck in the mind of Jack Heuer, who assumed leadership of the Heuer watch brand in 1962. With speeds this high, however, the Carrera Panamericana was deemed too dangerous to organise again with more than two dozen people losing their lives over the race’s five-year lifespan. By 1954, the race was attracting professional motorsports drivers, which was reflected in the final 356km stage of that year’s race being won at an average speed of 222kmph. Held for five consecutive years, this was an open road border-to-border race in Mexico covering more than 3500km with minimal safety precautions in place. The Heuer Carrera chronograph was launched in 1963, but the real story begins even earlier in 1950 when the Carrera Panamericana car race first ran.
